CARING FOR YOUR BUTTER PRODUCTS
There are NO unnatural preservatives or additives in our products to ensure you get the best natural “experience” we can offer. The shelf life of unrefined shea butter is approximately 12-24 months. We add vitamin E as a base for all of our butters which naturally extends the shelf life past its expectancy.
However, please keep in mind the following storing suggestions when ordering our butters:
- Keep the butter in a cool area, below 50 degrees F,
- Store butter in a dark area, away from direct sunlight
- Do not leave butter in your car with the windows closed in summertime or above 60 degrees.
- Butter must be stored and transported in cool conditions to avoid the butter becoming rancid. In summer months, we ship our butter products with ice gel packs to ensure they arrive to you in good condition.
While allergic reactions to our pure and natural ingredients are uncommon, we recommend you test our products first on a small patch of skin for 24 hours. In the unlikely event that redness or irritation develops, discontinue use. (Shealine Body Butters)
